Choose Mount Type
Choose between outside and inside mounts to suit your window configuration. The Outside Mount type is mounted on the wall above the window and is ideal if your window frame is shallow or if you want to maximize light blockage. Measure the width and height of the window itself, ensuring that you have a few extra inches on each side for better light blockage and privacy. The Inside Mount fits inside the window frame and is a popular choice for a clean, minimalist look. This look requires a window frame depth of 2.5 inches. Use the narrowest width measure and measure vertically the top of the frame to the sill.
Bottom Rails
Choose between heat-sealed and fabric wrap-around bottom rails to compliment your roller shades. Both choices keep a continuous look for your fabric. The Heat Sealed is the most popular. The aluminum bar sits completely in a heat-sealed pocket. The back will have a trim of the front-facing fabric. The Fabric Wrap-Around includes an end cap and is usually heavier than the Heat Sealed option.
Roll Type
Choose between a Front Roll or Back Roll for your custom roller shades. The Front Roll has the fabric fall from the front. This gives your window more clearance and is the most common look due to the sleek and finished look. The Back Roll has the fabric fall off the back and sits closer to the window. The top of the shade where the fabric rolls up with be the color of the back side of the fabric. This is something to keep in mind when ordering blackout fabric since the backside is white.
